Hinchinbrook MP, Andrew Cripps, has attended the graduation of 47 new police constables from the North Queensland Police Academy, at a ceremony in Townsville on Friday.

Mr Cripps said the Queensland Police Service Induction Parade was attended by Queensland’s most senior police officers and local civic leaders as well as family and friends of the graduates.

“I was delighted to see Ingham local, Reece Coppo, son of Paul and Caroline Coppo, successfully graduate as one of Queensland’s newest police constables” said Mr Cripps.

“It was also great to see former Ingham resident, Sergeant Paul Rose, have the honour of acting as the QPS Banner Ensign Bearer during the course of the Induction Parade” he said.

Mr Cripps congratulated the 47 new police constables and thanked them for being willing to enter into a career of public service to protect the life and property of all Queenslanders.
