JP MARKS 25 YEARS OF SERVICE

Hinchinbrook MP, Andrew Cripps, recently awarded Christine Pascoe, of South Johnstone, a certificate recognising 25 years of voluntary service to Queensland as a Justice of the Peace (JP).

Mr Cripps presented Mrs Pascoe with her certificate last Friday during an assembly at South Johnstone State School, where she is the Principal, in the presence of fellow staff and students.

“I’d like to thank Mrs Pascoe for her long period of service to the Queensland public as a JP, which is a voluntary position that can require individuals to take on a lot of responsibility” said Mr Cripps.

“I was pleased to be able to present a certificate to Mrs Canu in person, to ensure that she understood her local community appreciates the voluntary service that she has provided” he said.

Mr Cripps said anyone interested in becoming a JP, or a Commissioner for Declarations, should contact the Department of Justice on 1300 301 147, or email jp@justice.qld.gov.au.
