Bluewater State School fete

I attended the annual Bluewater State School fete at Bluewater. There was a great crowd in attendance at what is a fast growing school, servicing communities on Townsville’s Northern Beaches.

At the fete, it was great to catch up with a number of the fellas from the Bluewater Rural Fire Brigade, who were on hand providing information to local residents about bushfire awareness and entertaining the kids with the fire hose.

There are a number of rural fire brigades on Townsville’s Northern Beaches and across the Hinchinbrook electorate, all of which do a great job for their local communities and we shouldn’t forget that they are volunteers.

It was fantastic to be at the Bluewater State School for its annual fete. Well done to the P & C and the school community for the hard work they put into organising it and thanks to the local residents for all of their support on the night.
